The “PSC PEX” PEX Plumbing System comprises three main components; a flexible cross linked high density polyethylene pipe, solid DR brass compression fittings and special tooling.

Both the pipe and fittings are manufactured for Plumbers’ Supplies Co-op.. All products are manufactured to strict quality controls, are fully compliant to Australian Standards and are fully warranted.

The “PSC PEX” PEX Plumbing System uses black coloured PE-X pipe, which is suitable for use in hot and cold water services in both domestic and commercial applications. In addition the same pipe can be used for rainwater harvesting (coloured green) and water recycling (coloured purple).

The “PSC PEX” PEX Plumbing System is a cost effective alternative to other plumbing systems. The “PSC PEX” PEX system is easy and fast to install, usually with less fittings. The flexible pipe is light, as well as being corrosion, scale and chlorine resistant. As water flows more quietly through the PE-X pipe, water hammer is greatly reduced.

With the “PSC PEX” PEX system, the jointing sleeve is slipped over the pipe after which the end of the pipe is flared. The brass fitting is inserted into the flared end of the pipe and the jointing sleeve is then pulled over the pipe using the special pull on tool. This results in a permanent leak proof joint.

By using the “PSC PEX” expanding and compression tool, joints can be made without flame, heat, solder or solvents.
